Gluten is EVERYWHERE! Autoimmune diseases are sometimes hard to navigate. I have selected a few websites that I think give the best of the best information out there. I will update this regularly, as well as, give more detailed reviews on my thoughts. If you are just starting a gluten-free diet, READ ALL LABELS AND INGREDIENTS!!!! Many products may say it is gluten free however, they may have been processed on the same line as wheat causing cross contact.

Foods Naturally Gluten-Free:

These foods are good to keep in your healthy diet as they are naturally gluten-free.

  • Fresh eggs
  • Fresh meats, fish and poultry (avoid breading)
  • Fruits and vegetables (no sauces on vegetables)
  • Beans
  • Nuts
  • Seeds

Grains and Starches that CAN be part of your Gluten-Free diet:

  • BARLEY (malt, malt flavoring and malt vinegar are all usually made from barley)

  • Graham Flour
  • Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein

Stay Away From (may have gluten in them):

  • Benadryl pink tablets
  • Campbell’s canned soups
  • Canned tuna (flavored/seasoned)
  • Dextrin (may be derived from wheat)
  • Diglycerides (wheat may be a “carrier”)
  • Gyro meat
  • Frozen veggies with sauces
  • Imitation crab meat
  • Individually wrapped gum like Double Bubble Gum (wrapper may be coated in flour so the gum doesn’t stick to the wrapper)
  • Licorice
  • Monoglycerides (wheat may be a “carrier”)
  • Over-the-counter medicine (READ LABELS to find a gluten free brand)
  • Pancake syrup
  • Twizzlers
